College Football Top 128, Week of Oct. 11

The playoff picture continued to clear up in Week 6. Alabama and Ohio State were less impressive than usual, but still easily held on to the top spots. Michigan, Clemson and Washington embarrassed their opponents and sent a message to voters and future opponents that they need to be taken seriously. And Texas A&M established itself as the Alabama’s biggest competition in the SEC West. Meanwhile, Louisville was dealt a blow when Houston lost to Navy, diminishing the Cardinals’ late-season matchup with what they hoped would be an undefeated Houston team – and hurting Louisville’s chances of slipping back in to the CFP.
